This is the tenth timber framed nursery constructed for Kids First. A small site, in a Conservation Area, the limited work and storage area made for an extremely challenging build.
The project involved the demolition of a community centre and construction of a single storey, 125 place nursery building. The nursery is separated into seven playrooms, each with its own access to landscaped garden areas.
The Considerate Constructors site monitor noted the issues faced, and complimented the site on being “patient, approachable, friendly and highly professional.”
The nursery was completed on target, in 22 weeks.
