Walter Thompson have recently completed refurbishment works on a care home in Knowsley for Exemplar Health Care.

The care home has laid dormant for a number of months and we have renovated and remodelled it into a 28 bedroom care home.

The site is located in a densely populated residential area with a large football club opposite the development site and a primary school close by.

Externally we have created two secure courtyard spaces with seating areas and a separate landscaped garden area with raised bed planters for residents to grow vegetables and herbs.

Internally each bedroom has its own private ensuite wet room and there are numerous communal Lounges and Dining Rooms, a therapy and sensory room, two assisted bathrooms and an activities hub.

Traffic management has been key on this project in order to keep the surrounding area and roads clear of site traffic as much as possible.
