We are excited to announce the successful completion of a full refurbishment at Lepton Heights Care Home, an Exemplar-owned facility in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The home sits in the village of Fenay Bridge, a quiet village only a few miles from the busy town centre.

After a sudden closure earlier in the year, the care home has now been fully renovated and is open to residents. From updating the infrastructure and installing modern, durable finishes to ensuring that all health and safety regulations are met, we have worked closely with our client to create a fresh and new space for those residents who will be moving in. Featuring bedrooms and apartments across four units, the home also offers communal dining and living areas, sensory bathrooms, a salon, an activities hub and a dedicated therapy room providing holistic care.

Lepton Heights will be supporting adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia, neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities. The home gives them the much needed care they need while still providing an independent living environment.

This will be Exemplar’s first home in Huddersfield, creating 100 new jobs within the area. Commissioning manager for Exemplar, Katie Capes, said: ‘Lepton Heights will not only provide much needed complex care services for local people, but create a wide array of well-paying new healthcare job opportunities.’
