Works have just completed on Hylton care home in Sunderland, a specialist nursing care home for Exemplar Health Care.

This scheme was a new build contract on a former social club site with works starting in February 2022 and recently completing in June 2023.

The home supports adults living with high acuity needs including complex mental health, dementia, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.

The home includes 30 large, adapted bedrooms – each with an en-suite wet room.

The home has communal dining and living spaces, laundry,  assisted bathrooms, catering kitchen, offices, and staff rooms including an accessible garden.

Charlotte Lloyd, Director of Commissioning at Exemplar Health Care, said:
